The TGO Group started as a real estate investment company and consulting firm in 2009. On the heels of the financial crisis of 2008, our philosophy was to look for alternative investments outside of the public markets in order to avoid the volatility and low yields of public markets. We looked towards safety of capital, asymmetric returns, more control over our investments and purchasing assets at favorable valuations in order to better resist recessions. We have evolved over time to focus on free cash flow and recession resistance.
